Somehow, I didn’t post these! I have been practicing equine portraits with different media. These are both Breeze, from reference pictures taken seconds apart. The profile on the far right I did first, with ink pencils, the 3/4 profile in the middle right I did with watercolors supplemented with brush pens. I think the second one is better, personally. The lights and darks are better.

Riding Boot Centerpiece
I painted some old riding boots, and they could be yours! I’m auctioning them off on Ebay. They are entirely decorative, perfect for a conversation piece, or the centerpiece at a race-day party, a polo match, or even just a horse crazy kid’s party.

I go back to the horse often. Dozens of reasons, one of which being the familiar shape which allows me to focus on letting go and letting the paint play. It’s always something I’ll be learning.
